About the Webinar:
In this webinar, we will look at positive signs and red flags you may observe about natural resources and biodiversity at inspection. Where can producers turn to help them address concerns on their farms? Learn about the financial and technical assistance available from the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) to address natural resource concerns.

Topics of Discussion:
Organic standards that relate to natural resources and biodiversity, OSPs and how they describe biodiversity, Positive signs and red flags you may see on farms, Technical assistance- what inspectors and certifiers can provide versus what NRCS can provide, NRCS programs and practices and how they relate to the organic standards.

About the Trainer:

The webinar will be presented by Lynne Haynor who is is an Organic Conservation Specialist housed at the NRCS Central National Technology Support Center. She holds a joint position with NRCS and the Organic Trade Association. Her job includes providing organic training for NRCS staff, developing regional networks, and performing outreach to organic farmers and organizations. Her professional background includes working in organic inspection and certification, agricultural education, and on farms. She also holds a Masters of Science in Agroecology from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, and lives in Madison, Wisconsin.
