Dr. Shiv Chopra presented the keynote address at the Annual General Meeting. Dr. Chopra, originally from India but living in Canada since 1960, is known internationally for his positions on public food safety policy. Due in large part to his work, Bovine Growth Hormone was barred in Canada in 1999 and in the EU. Apart from his work in science, he is a highly acclaimed leader and spokesman on a variety of social and cultural issues in Canada and around the world.  His latest book “Corrupt to the Core” details his view on how government corruption endangers the public food supply and contains a blueprint for the establishment of food safety and security.
